Description

I am a freelance animator and motion graphics artist, based in London and also able to work remotely worldwide. Specialising in 2D character animation and motion graphics, often combining live action with stop motion or mixed media collage, I can work in a wide range of styles and techniques ranging from experimental and artistic to technical and corporate. An expert in Adobe After Effects, I am also highly proficient with Photoshop, Illustrator and Premiere. I am also capable of audio editing if required.

I have had a great deal of experience in working in a team alongside directors, illustrators, editors and other animators, but also in creating complete works by myself from a brief and script. Recently I have gained particular experience working for large charities and NGOs.

Notable freelance clients include Plasticine, The Guardian, Kellogs, The BBC, UNICEF, The United Nations Development Program, OHCHR, The International Organisation for Migration, University College London, IATA, Video Arts, Wired Video and Tandem Films.

I have also worked with the UK music scene, creating music video and content for Tom Furse (The Horrors) and Because records, as well as print designs for Baba Yaga’s Hut, The Quietus and various independent labels, promoters and bands.

Between 2006 - 2013 I worked as full time postproduction artist, animator and motion graphic designer for Gutsy Ltd. on numerous TV commercials, documentaries, online content, 360° VR projects and high-end internal research films. Clients including Mercedes Benz, Shell, D&D London, BNY Mellon, E.ON, Nissan, Digitas, Selfridges, Principal Hotels and more.

Previously, 2001 - 2006, I was co-director of Spite Your Face Productions Ltd. I created stop motion LEGO animated films commissioned by Sony Pictures, Lucasfilm, Monty Python and the LEGO Group. Our shorts “ONE: A Space Odyssey”, “Monty Python and the Holy Grail in LEGO”, “Star Wars the Han Solo Affair” and “Spider-Man: The Peril of Doc Ock” were among the earliest viral videos online and inspired the entire ‘Brickfilm’ animation genre.
